BABY’S COTTAGE

Introducing "Baby's Cottage" Children learning from adults is a fundamental aspect of human development and society for several important reasons: From caring for the children , to doing laundry , making dinner or stocking the refrigerator with a weeks worth of groceries , all children who visit Baby's Cottage are sure to leave feeling excited about some of the things we as adults do each and every day. Granted we don't find them as fun and exciting as they do

Now, you might be wondering where Ms.Laura gets her inspiration from for the names of her centers. Baby's Cottage is named after "Baby" Berkley, one of her former in-home daycare littles. There were two sweet girls at Ms.Laura's in home daycare with the same name, but different spelling, so in an effort to make it easy for all the kiddos, Ms.Laura named her "Baby". While she may not be just 5 weeks old or 7.5 lbs, still to this day, she is known as Baby and answers to it just the same. Baby Berkley has always loved caring for her babies so Ms.Laura only saw it fitting to dedicate this center to Baby herself.
